RIDE THE MAIL BOAT!
This is a must do and a great way to see Lake Vermilion -- Lake Vermilion is a large lake with over 365 islands and 1200 miles of shoreline.  Many homes are on the islands and are only accessible by boat -- so the local mail is delivered by boat and YOU CAN RIDE ALONG ON THE MAIL BOAT!  This needs to be booked in advance - $16 for adults, $8 for kids.  It books up quickly in the summer because the maximum passenger load is 6.  If the weather is inclimate, you can always cancel and do not pay until you actually board the boat. For more information click here.

The Native American Heritage Center
